Our day trips take you to the most interesting places in Bali – always in small groups, always away from the main routes. Participants are picked up directly from their hotel in a VW "Kübelwagen", and our guides accompany you throughout the day.

Every tour has its own character: the classic tour is the ideal introduction to Bali's culture and society, the hidden Bali reveals village life and the island's plants, hikers get their money's worth on the rice field hike and the Batur volcano climb, and lovers of craftsmanship join us to meet Bali's artists around Ubud.

Tour 1 – The classic tour

Day tour to Bali's famous sights: Tanah Lot sea temple, Pura Luhur on Mount Batu Karu, the Jatiluwih rice terraces, Bedugul market and Lake Bratan.

Tour 2 – The hidden Bali

Day tour to remote mountain villages: Taman Ayun temple, a Balinese village market, botany walk, the Ayung valley, a rainforest walk and sacred monkeys.

Tour 3 – Rice field hike

Experience Bali's rice farming up close: the Subak rice museum, walks through West Bali's rice fields, fresh coconut at a farm and a black sand beach.

Tour 4 – East Bali

Day tour to Bali's east: Goa Lawah bat cave, the court hall of Klungkung, Besakih mother temple on Mount Agung and the royal baths of Tirta Gangga.

Tour 5 – Batur volcano climb

Night ascent of the 1,717-metre Batur volcano: sunrise over Bali's volcanic peaks, crater caves, hot volcanic slopes and a lava landscape.

Tour 6 – Bali nature in West Bali

Day tour through West Bali: the potters' village of Pejaten, Belimbing rice terraces, Munduk waterfall, coffee and clove plantations, crater lakes.

Tour 7 – Bali’s artists

Day tour to the artists' villages around Ubud: stonemasons of Batubulan, silversmiths of Celuk, painters of Ubud, Goa Gajah and the woodcarvers of Kemenuh.
