General tour information
To make sure your excursion with Bali VW Tour starts off relaxed, we have put together the most important information for participants.
What to wear
Light shoes or trainers, a t-shirt or shirt, shorts or a skirt are fine for most tours.
- For excursions that include temple visits, please wear clothing that covers your shoulders. Bali VW Tour provides a sarong and sash for temple visits free of charge.
- For the higher regions a light jacket or jumper is advisable.
- Good trainers are sufficient for walks through the rice fields.
- For volcano and mountain tours wear sturdy but light walking shoes – mountain boots are not necessary. As the climb will make you sweat, we recommend a change of clothes and a jumper.
What to bring
A charger and spare battery for your camera (a power socket is available at the lunch stop), sun cream and a hat. We recommend buying drinks, water and snacks along the way – it is our way of supporting the rural population together.
Seating in the cars
The Kübelwagen are driven exclusively by our drivers; self-driving is not possible. Each car seats 2, 3 or 4 guests plus driver; on average we plan for 3 participants per car. If you would like a car and driver just for the two of you, this can be booked for a surcharge of EUR 30.00 per car.
Guests in wheelchairs
Bali VW Tour gives visitors in wheelchairs the opportunity to see this beautiful island. We provide a dedicated car for guests with disabilities – you can join a group or take the tour privately with the guide.
Rainforest walk
The "Hidden Bali" tour includes a rainforest walk of about one hour. The path is paved and easy to walk – trainers or sturdy sandals are perfectly adequate.
Luggage on round trips
Suitcases and larger pieces of luggage cannot be taken in the Kübelwagen for lack of space. We recommend a soft travel bag for the days of the round trip; your main luggage can be stored in any hotel's luggage store.
If your pick-up hotel differs from your hotel after the round trip, we will happily transport your main luggage to your next hotel within Tanjung Benoa, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Sanur and Ubud. If you would like to combine a hotel move from north or east Bali to the south (or vice versa) with a round trip, we run the trip with an estate car and your luggage comes along.
